Drawing competition for kids
Hello,
With a view of bringing out some of the hidden
artistic talents of our kids, we are planning to have
a drawing competition for kids this time at the
sankethi koota - sankranthi get together. Here are the
instructions and rules for the competition.
1. The competition is open for children 5 years and
older.
2. The drawing has to be based on one of the following
themes/subjects:
1) "My favorite Indian festival..."
2) "My favorite Indian God..."
3) "An Indian Village scene"
4) "An Indian monument or place of interest"
5) "A scene from Indian mythology or history"
3. We will provide a sketch/drawing paper of about
11x14 and some pencils.
4. You have to bring your own supply of color
pencils/crayons/ water color/oil pastels etc.
5. The kids will be given 60 minutes to complete their
drawing and color it.
If your kids are interested in taking part in this,
please send me an email with their name and age. Let
us showcase our budding artists !
Regards,
Lakshmi

Hi Shobha and all,
I was answering a question from Shobha about the themes for drawing. I thought it may be of interest to other parents whose kids are thinking of participating
in the drawing competition.
"An Indian village scene" could be the greenery, nature or any type of village scene with a little some
thing in it that will really make you think of a village in India such as a well next to a house,
man/woman carrying a water pot or a stack of hay, oxen ploughing in a field, etc.
Hope that helps.
Rgds,
Lakshmi
