Fun Fair - Apr 5th 2008 - brief report

As part of the last event hosted by the Paschimavaahini committee of 2007 - 2008, a "FUN FAIR" was organised on the 5th Apr 2008.

It was a joyful event for both the hosts and the guests. The event included several games and activities catering to all age groups. Young and old had loads of fun alike.

The games / activities included:

* Counting the Chocolate: Guessing the number of chocolates in a box. There were 84 chocolates.

* Ogatugalu

* Hoopla

* Shooting like Arjuna

* Carrom

* Rummy

* Dart

* Basket the Ball

* Face Painting

* Mehendi

* Last but not least "Doll Decoration": Several raw materials were provided for participants to use their wild imagination and come up with a doll.

All the games / activities drew participants of all age groups. Several Prizes were won as part of these games.

Ugadi special - 2 card bumper bingo was conducted. Attractive prizes were given out to the winners. Lastly, lucky Dip was drawn to hand over Grand prizes. Any prize remaining from the above ganes were also handed over as part of lucky dip.

This was followed by a scrumptious lunch. The menu included Shavige uppit, Chatni, Saaru / anna, Beans palya, Vegetable Vangi bhath, chips, Majjige Huli, Mosaranna and Fruit Salad. Keeping in mind the Sankethi tastebuds, Coffee counter was set at the registration desk for the guests to help themselves with Hot coffee from time to time.

Lunch was followed by the selection of the next committee. Prashant Krishnamurthy was chosen president of the next Committe. Other members included Mr. Shastry, Poornima Ramprasad, Manjunath, Anitha Bhushan, Sushma Srikanth. 2 budding members in the form of Abhijit and Sanjana were included as part of the committe.

The event concluded with a group photograph capturing most of the attendees present.
