Camping Trip Update

Hi All

Thanks for all of the people who have responded so far. We have about 10 families who have confirmed and some families sitting on the fence. To help make a better decision, here are more details about the upcoming trip:

=> Dates: 8th September and 9th September 2007 (Sat and Sun)
=> Location: Lake Millerton

Unfortunately, the Del Valle campgrounds did not have an availability for the above dates. Lake Millerton is located in the Central Valley and it is touted as one of the best family campgrounds around. For more details about the camp site, please see http://www.parks. ca.gov/?page_ id=587

As mentioned in the original mail, we plan to have everybody get to the campground late Saturday afternoon. We'll have snacks in the evening as we begin pitching up our tents. Then, we'll have dinner/barbeque as we sing songs and play games by the campfire. Then on Sunday morning, after breakfast, we plan to be at the lake for boating and head back after having lunch by the lake.

=> Cost: $25 per individual*

* The above cost includes the rental equipment and camp site reservation expenses. Food and common items will be shared among all adults (does not include children below the age of 6) which will be settled at the end of the camping trip.

=> Camping Equipment:

We will rent the equipment for everybody unless you mention that you will be bringing your own equipment. We plan to rent them from REI. For information about rental equipment that is available, please see http://www.rei. com/stores/ rentals.html# california

=> What action to take?

Please confirm your availability by replying to this email (reply directly to paschimavaahini@ yahoo.com) with the following information (We request the people who have already confirmed to send another mail with this information) :

• Number of adults (and children under the age of 6)
• Contact Information (Phone Number and Email address)
  
• Rental equipment needed
• Camp Tent (depending on the # of adults, we'll try to rent a tent for the entire family)
  
• # of Sleeping Bags
• # of Sleeping Pads
• Any other rental equipment
  

For the people who have not yet responded, ellaru bega respond maadi!! ellaaru begu confirm pannango!! This would be a great opportunity for you to spend a weekend with your fellow sankethis. We're extending the deadline to Monday, 30th July 2007.

Camping Trip Announcement

Hello all!

Barbeque, songs by the camp fire, boating and much more….

Doesn’t that sound like fun? We’re planning a camping trip for the weekend of 8^th September for the Sankethi Koota.

Here are some details

Dates: 8^th (Sat) and 9^th (Sun) September 2007
Camp Site : Del Valle (http://www. ebparks.org/ parks/del_ valle)

Depending upon availability, we’re planning this at the campsites at Del Valle, located about 10 miles south of Livermore and about an hour away from the south bay. The tentative plan is to get to the campsites on Saturday around high noon, an overnight stay and return at about the same time on Sunday evening. We’ll provide more details about the trip based on the number of families who have confirmed (hopefully, everybody!).
